A small kitchen is updated and enlarged by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Removing the unusable left corner on the sink wall also adds extra cabinet space. A small peninsula with dining for two "divides" the new open space. The door to the kitchen is replaced with a door opening and the opening from the dining room to living room is enlarged.
